Research & Development: Focusing on marine and coastal ecosystems to enhance understanding and conservation efforts.

Sustainable Development of Beaches: Under the Beach Environment & Aesthetic Management Service (BEAMS), this component aims to develop and maintain clean, safe, and sustainable beaches.

The scheme is implemented by the state governments of coastal states and Union Territory (UT) administrations, with funding provided based on proposals reviewed by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
