Jayshree Vencatesan, co-founder of Chennai-based Care Earth Trust, has made history as the first Indian to receive the prestigious Ramsar Award for “Wetland Wise Use.”

This global recognition celebrates her exceptional contributions to the sustainable management of wetlands, particularly her work with the Pallikaranai Marsh in Chennai.
